I think we can very well act on and according to our own values, without necessarily judging others by them. Arguably, the more we are aware of the subjectivity of our values, and the fact that other values can perfectly coexist with our own, the less it makes sense to judge others.

That said, I just tweeted a link to a Research Digest article about the moral superiority illusion, so my prescription is easier stated than implemented.
