Thanks for the response, LCQ (I hope you don’t mind me addressing you by your first name :-)).

My intention is not so much to explain how the mind works — people way cleverer than me are struggling to even scratch the surface of that topic, but more to explore what it means for us to know that the mind works in the ways it does. Occasionally that includes references to possible explanatons for the reasons why works that way.
